Stephen R. "Bob" Kompier, 82, of Colerain, died Sunday February 2, 2014 at his home. He was born November 6, 1931 in Barton, Ohio, a son of the late Stephen M. and Stella (Switaj) Kompier. He was a retired machinist for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Martins Ferry Plant, a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain, and a veteran in the US Navy in Korea. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jeffery Michael Kompier in 1993. Stephen is survived by his loving wife Rose (Figuray) Kompier, a son Robert Kompier of Pittsburgh, and a sister Christine (Robert) Kutchmyer of Wolfhurst. Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 1 pm. Full military services will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 12:45 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Barton and Colerain Fire Depts.
