Stephen "Steve" Stanko, 67, of NJ, formerly of Bridgeport, OH, passed Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Samaritan Hospice at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis with his family by his side. Steve was born September 9, 1947, the only son of the late Steve and Mary Stanko. Steve loved spending time with his grandchildren and cherished every moment he had with them. In addition to his grandchildren, Steve loved fishing and music. He would spend hours listening to classic rock and sharing stories about the Ohio Valley. His passion for music was closely followed by his love of Ohio University, his alma mater, where he majored in History. Upon graduation, Steve became a salesman, a career he held for 30 years before retiring in 2003. As a father, Steve, was extremely proud off his two sons Paul and Mike Stanko. Steve is survived by his two sons, Paul Stanko (Brea) of Cherry Hill, NJ and their two children Lecia and Brynn, and Mike Stanko (Karie) of Reynoldsburg, OH and their two children Lexee and Reese. Friends are invited to a Memorial visitation and service on June 6, 2015 from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM, with Fr.
