Steve W. Czapp, Sr. Steve W. Czapp, Sr., 77, of Kuckuck Lane, Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., Nov. 10, 2002 at home. He was born Jan. 7, 1925 in Martins Ferry a son of the late George and Elizabeth Czapp. He was retired from the former Picoma Industries of Martins Ferry. Steve was a member of St. Alfonsos Catholic Church, Wheeling, WV, V.F.W. Post #4811, Yorkville, American Legion Post #38, and Eagles Aerie #456 both of Martins Ferry and a veteran of the U.S. Navy WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother George Czapp and three sisters Betty Sileargy, Julia Kelly, and Ann McDermott. Surviving are his wife Martha L. (Duff) Czapp, a son Steve W. Czapp, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Sunset Heights, three daughters Kathy Czapp of Martins Ferry, Chris Czapp Meyers of Colerain and Stephanie Czapp of the home, two sisters Margaret Sonk of Lansing, and Irene Dailer of Martins Ferry; and three granddaughters Meghann Meyers, and Diana and Danielle Czapp. Friends will be received Tue. 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Nov. 13, 2002 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Patrick Condron officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Alfonsos Catholic Church, 2111 Market St., Wheeling, WV 26003.
