Steve Paull, Jr. Steve Paull, Jr., 86, of Pearl St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Nov. 9, 2002 at Hazima Care Home, Colerain, OH. He was born Oct. 20, 1916 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Steve and Mary (Vesmas) Paull, Sr. He was retired from the former Picoma Industries of Martins Ferry. Steve was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Eagles Aerie #456 both of Martins Ferry, a member of the Vigilant Engine Co. of the Martins Ferry Fire Department, and a veteran of U.S. Army WWII having been awarded the Silver Star medal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Julias J. Paull. Surviving are his wife Geraldine "Jerry" (Sockman) Paull , a son John E. Paull and his wife Gail of Ridgecrest, CA, a daughter Mary E. Paull and her fiancé Jesse W. Stafford of Alexandria, VA, a brother Edward W. Paull and Dora of Cleveland, OH, two granddaughters Deborah G. Paull of Ridgecrest, CA and Bobbie Forney and her husband Matthew of Wichita, KS, and one great granddaughter Ashley Forney. Friends will be received Tue. 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Nov. 13, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Peter L. Pilger officiating. Entombment follows in Holly Memorial Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove with full military honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W. Martins Ferry Fire Dept. will hold services Tues. at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
