Susan A. Kitson, 64, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at her residence. She was born June 17, 1950 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late George K. and Glenna (Bowery) Kitson. She retired as a medical chart coordinator from East Ohio Regional Hospital. Susan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Polish National Alliance Lodge #2220 both of Martins Ferry. Surviving are her life partner and companion, Joan Gubernot of Martins Ferry, brother, George (Judi) Kitson of Omaha, NB, sisters: Sharon Minder and Becki (Charles) Baker both of Martins Ferry, nephew, Bryan (Dana) Minder, great nephew Michael Minder, great niece Allyson Minder and her dog Bubbah. Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday, 2-4 and 6-9 pm where services will be held, Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Wake services will be held Sunday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home.
