Susan D. "Sue" (Roscoe) Laslo, 93, of Morningside of Madison, Madison, AL, formerly of Indiana St., Martins Ferry, OH died Fri., Oct. 24, 2003 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. She was born Feb. 6, 1910 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late George and Julie (Metro) Roscoe. Sue was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Women's Club, OPALS, Women's Civic Club, and Eagles Aerie # 456 Auxiliary all of Martins Ferry and the AARP. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Laslo, a daughter Patricia Agnes Laslo, a brother George Roscoe, and three sisters Helen Newton, Anna Roper, and Julia Boskovich. Surviving are two sons George S. (Martha) Laslo of Huntsville, AL and John W. Laslo of Huron, OH, a daughter Jean (Joseph) Jones of Dataw Island, SC, two sisters Mary Preslin of Martins Ferry and Elizabeth Hughes of Cleveland, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thur., Oct. 30, 2003, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Rosary devotions will be recited Wed. at 3:00 PM followed by wake services at 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
