Susan Lee (Writer) Neavin, 63, of Alvarado, TX, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1945 in Martins Ferry a daughter of late William S. Writer and Martha E. (Escott) Writer-Givens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank H. Neavin, III, and a sister Judy Green. Susan was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. Surviving are four sons Timothy Neavin, Scott (Corey) Neavin, Brian (Suzan) Neavin, and Jason Neavin all of Alvarado, TX., a sister Linda (Norman) Compton of Reynoldsburg, OH, sister-in-law Ann(Wade) Neavin Stinchcomb of MD, a brother-in-law Brad (Mary) Neavin of WA, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Friends will be received Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, from 10:00 am until time of services at 12:00 pm at Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Larry W. Lewis officiating.
