Obituary

Susie B. (Cooley) McBroom, 84, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday May 17, 2018, at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born Sept. 2, 1933 in Perry County, Mississippi, daughter of the late Less and Lula (Singley) Cooley.
She was retired from Ashland Oil Co. and was a Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter N. McBroom, a son, Joseph A. McBroom, a granddaughter, Leigh Smith and siblings; Ronnie, Newton, Bill, and Glenn Cooley.
Surviving are her sons, Gary and David McBroom, of Martins Ferry and her daughter, Martha S. Smith of Bridgeport, OH and siblings Catherine Bond, Joe and James Cooley, Patsy Rutledge and Linda McSwain, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
