Suzanne Solomon, 89 of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Coshocton Medical Center, Coshocton, Ohio. She was born August 2, 1932, in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late William W. and Elizabeth (Miller) Friend.

She was Methodist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Helms, siblings Virgil, Donald, Martha, and Betty Friend.

Suzanne is survived by her husband James A. Solomon, 3 sons; James A. Solomon Jr. of Bridgeport, John (Linda) Dunlavy, of Bridgeport, Phillip Dunlavy of MS., 2 daughters; Linda (Frank) Wills, Vancleve, MS and Vicki (Alan) Price, Grapevine, TX., son in law Ronald Helms of Lansing, Brother; Robert Friend and sister Mary Scamelle of Wheeling WV. 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren complete her family.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 12-2 and 4-6 pm. Funeral service will be Monday, December 6, 2021, at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Hoff officiating burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove
