Wilkes, Sylvester E. "Eddie" Jr. 60 of Wheeling WV died Wednesday April 18, 2012 at his home. He was born July 17, 1951 in Wheeling, a son the late Mary Jane (Ridgeway) Wilkes Galloway. He was a member of Wayman AME Church Wheeling, and the Army Reserve 25th Army Division in Wheeling, and a Sanitary Engineer for Jochum Sanitation. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother James Wilkes. Surviving are His wife Betty (Coan) Wilkes, two daughters Melanie and Yolanda Nightingale, a son Charles (Chew) Wilkes, two sisters ZoAnn (Edward) Fields of Bridgeport, and Patty (Tom) Dennard of Wheeling, a brother Charles Wilkes of Canton, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Saturday 11 am till time of service at 1 pm, with Rev. John Stevens officiating.
