Worwa, Sylvia Jean, 72, of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, died Tuesday August 19, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital.. Sylvia was born September 28, 1935 in Lafferty, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Ina Pearl Sowers Sr. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Mike Worwa, a son Michael Steven Worwa and two brothers David and Charles Sr. Sowers. Sylvia is survived by three sons, John Andrew Worwa Sr. and his wife Sharon, George Carl Worwa Sr. and his wife Beth, Stanley Paul Worwa Sr. and his wife Stephanie, all of Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Mary Ann Schaal of Yorkville, Katherine Lynn Supanik and her husband Tom of Mt. Pleasant, Rose Marie Bonecutter and her husband Roy of Bloomingdae, Linda Jean Sempkowski and her husband Curtis of Dillonvale; a Daughter-in-law Joyce Worwa of Yorkville; two brothers Gary and Raymond Sowers, both of Cadiz; three sisters Betty Barnhart and her husband Don of Cadiz, Mary Ellen Tuchuck and her husband John of Adena, Ruthie Toto of Adena; 25 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren. Sylvia was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 - 8 and on Saturday from 10 until time of service at 12:30 at Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second Street, Dillonvale. Msgr. John Kolesar will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Dillonvale.
