Terry R. "Moe" Byard, 70, of Martins Ferry, OH went home to meet his lord on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born Sept. 9, 1942 in West Wheeling, OH a son of the late Elmer L. and Mary Jane (Ryan) Byard. He was retired from the MayFlower Vehicles Company, Shadyside, OH. He was a member of the Greggsville United Methodist Church, Wheeling, WV and also a veteran of the U. S. Navy, Vietnam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Dale Byard, a sister Trudy Maag. Surviving are his wife Kathy J. (Richter) Byard, a son Rob Byard of Columbus, OH, two daughters Janie (Mick) Strain of St. Clairsville, OH, and Terri (Melvin) Williams of Martins Ferry, a step-daughter Brenda Ann (Mark) Pettit of Moundsville, WV, a step-son Michael Marshall of Wheeling, WV, a sister Linda (Ron) Long of Rayland, OH, a brother Ron Byard of Bellaire, OH, a sister Carolyn (John) Rose of Elm Grove, WV, sister-in-law Harriet Byard of Martins Ferry, and ten grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday 12 - 6 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Greggsville United Methodist Church, Wheeling, WV with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating.
