Obituary

Tersilia ""Ceil"" DaRe Kubic, 86, of Lansing, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born May 8, 1922 in Lansing, the daughter of the late John and Regina (Fiourin) DaRe. Ceil was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst, where she was active with the Catholic Women's Club. She worked on the brake production assembly line at Aukerman Factory in Wheeling and then at Wheeling Stamping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Kubic in 1990; a son John George Kubic; and two brothers Marino and Alvin DaRe. Ceil is survived by two sons George Kubic and his wife Deborah Ann of Martins Ferry and John Kubic of Lansing; two daughters Regina Sikora and her husband Joseph of Colerain and Deborah Amato and her husband Joseph of Brookside; a brother Joseph DaRe and his wife Julia of Lansing; six grandchildren Charles (Martina) Sikora of Worthington, OH, Jennifer (Joe) Martin of Brandon, FL, Amy (Mike) Lynn of Saylorsburg, PA, Matthew of Manhattan, Kala Amato of Brookside and Lindy Kubic of Boardman, OH; three great granddaughters Lindsey, Ashley and Alessandra; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday Noon - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where Vigil services will be held at 3:30 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at St Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst with Father John Mucha as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Blaine.
