Thelma L. Hastings 97, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday October 23, 2011 at Autumn Healthcare of Adena. She was born January 22, 1914 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Taylor Lynn. She was a life long member of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant, a charter member of the United Methodist Women, a charter member of the W.S.C.S. a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, a Church Pianist; she was an avid reader, and a retired employee of the Wilson Funeral Home Dillonvale. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death b y her husband Green B. Hastings, two sons Robert, and Richard Hastings, a daughter Mary Agnes Maxey, three brothers Charles, Donovan, and Myron Lynn. Thelma is survived by a daughter; Melissa Hastings of St. Clairsville, ten grandchildren; Robin (John) Rozenek, Barry Maxey, Michelle (Vern) Eikenberry, Robert (Kathy) Hastings, Renee (Phil) Parenti, Charla (Sean) Kelley, Bruce Maxey, Rick (Dixie) Hastings, Misty (Mike) Kanoski, and Stacey Hastings, eleven great grandchildren; Daughters-in-Law / Friends; Carol Hastings, Carol Schrickel, Betty Mason, and Nancy Shaffer. A tribute of Thelma's life will be celebrated on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second Street Dillonvale, and Wednesday from 10 am till time of services at 11 am at the United Methodist Church Mt Pleasant with Rev.
