Thelma L. (Williams) Maguire Burns, 92, formerly of Wayne Hays Tower, Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Feb. 25, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Apr. 9, 1916 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Ann (Conaway) Williams. She worked for many years at the former Stone & Thomas Dept. Store of Wheeling. Thelma was a member of the First U. Methodist Church of Martins Ferry and the former Phileathea Class of the church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Nelson R. Maguire and Grover Burns, a brother Harold Williams, and two sisters Violet Morris and Evelyn Thomas Surviving are two daughters Evelyn (Richard) Meigh of Martins Ferry and Delores Sauders of Bellaire, a son Bruce (Jean) Maguire of Martins Ferry, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Feb. 28, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Van D.
