Korpon, Theresa (Kubic), 93 of Barton, died Monday May 28, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. She was born June 19, 1918 in Barton, a daughter of the late Steve and Barbara Perhasc Kubic. She was a life member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Barton until it's closing, and then joined St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) Korpon in 1984, three brothers John, Steve, and Andrew Kubic, two sisters Mary Borosh, and Margie Sass, and especially a nephew Fr. Carl Borosh. Theresa is survived by two sons Timothy (Nancy) Korpon of Colerain, and Russell (Patricia) Korpon of St. Clairsville, a daughter Jacqueline (Thomas) Norland of Rockford IL., a sister Sophia Lozipone of Marino Valley CA., four grandchildren, Eric Norland, Jeffrey Korpon, Sarah Norland Loeffler, and Kristin Korpon Whittenbrook, eight great grandchildren Allissa, Amy, Annika, and Jack Norland, Nathan and Alexander (A.J.) Korpon, Nicholas Whittenbrook, and Layne Krivenko, also several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Thursday May 31, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain with Fr. Dale Tornes officiating, interment in Union Cemetery St. Clairsville.
