COYNE, Thomas Kevin, 84, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Sunday July 10, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at Valley Hospice South, Liza's Place, Wheeling, W.Va. He was born in Bridgeport on February 18, 1927, a son of the late Terence and Mary Kain Coyne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Terence Coyne and Patrick Coyne; three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Ireland, Rosaleen Striley, Margaret Ann Coyne (Sister Rita Clare). Thomas was a retired employee of Maroon Enterprises, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clairsville and a member of the K of C of St. Clairsville. He was an avid card player, fisherman and loyal Notre Dame Fan. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan Conway Coyne; three sons: Thomas K. (Debbie) Coyne of Buffalo, NY., Terence K. (Bernadette) Coyne of Canton, Ohio, and Patrick K. (Cassy) of Bridgeport; a daughter Josie (Roy) Grover of Belmont, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Coyne (Jody) of Weirton, sisters: Teresa Carnahan of Colerain, Rita Nolan of Glen Dale, sister-in-law, Margaret Coyne of St. Paul, MN., and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where K of C service will be held at 2:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday July 14, 2011, with visitation from 10 until the time of Mass at 11:00am, at St. Mary's Church, St. Clairsville, with Msgr. George R. Coyne as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
