Thomas L. Deaton, Sr. Thomas L. Deaton, Sr., 61, of Pattons Run Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Dec. 6, 2002 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. He was born Jan. 15, 1941 in Columbus, OH a son of the late Melvin J. and Marie "Dolly" Seebers Deaton. He was an employee of Ormet Aluminum Corp., Hannibal, OH, a member of Martins Ferry Eagles Aerie #456, and a veteran of the U. S. Army and U.S. Navy. Surviving are his wife Carolyn J. Myers Deaton, two sons Thomas L. Deaton, Jr. and his wife Tiffany of Hawaii and Raymond Messenger, Jr. and his wife Angel of Monterey, CA; four daughters Cheryl Brown, Danille Ray and her husband Dan, and Michelle Fears all of Louisville, KY, and Connie Faulk and her fiancé Richard Taylor of Shelby, OH, and fifteen grandchildren. Friends will be received Tue.2-4& 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Dec. 11, 2002 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport, OH. Eagles services will be held Tue. at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
