Thomas "Tom" A. Garan, 82, of St. Clairsville, OH formerly of Crescent, OH passed away October 3, 2016 at home. He was born August 8, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, OH, a son of Thomas and Margaret (Mozie) Garan. He was a clerk at the Yorkville Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Plant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; his sister, Mary Garan and an infant brother, Eugene Garan. Tom is survived by his very special friend, Betty Mitchell; his children, Cindy Garan Tirpak of Colerain, OH, Kenneth (Jami) Garan of St. Clairsville, OH, Thomas (Kimberly) Garan of Bridgeport, OH, Margy (Edward "Skip") Truax of Wheeling, WV; Sisters; Betty and Dorothy; Brother, David; and grandchildren, Kassi Jo Garan, Shane Garan, Brittany Tirpak, Taylor Tirpak, Chase Garan, D.J. Tirpak, Paige Garan, Lauren Garan, and Jamie Pierce. Friends will be received Thursday, October 6, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd.
