August 30, 1938 – May 27, 2025
Thomas Ray Hill 86, of Bridgeport entered the presence of his Savior on Tuesday May 27, 2025, at 12:25 pm. He was born August 30, 1938, in Wellsburg, WV. A son of the late John Lowery and Ruth Cordelia (Lewis) Hill.
Tom worked as regional representative for Penn Railroad, a salesman and mechanic for several car dealerships. He worked for Eagle Manufacturing, Bethlehem Steel, Brook County Ambulance and Wheeling Hospital as a security guard. His last 16 years, he was employed as a caring Social Worker with Heathway in Weirton, where he was an Advisor.
After overcoming Rheumatic Fever and Polio as a child, he became a mascot for the Pittsburgh Army-Airforce.
He became an enthusiast in flying airplanes after befriending Lt. Co. Donald Jamison, Commander at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport, Coraopolis, Pa. He loved Planes, Cars, and Railroads, now after serving and loving people, he is with his one and only Pilot Jesus and flying high.
In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his son Timmy Hill, his daughter Kimberly Hill and a brother George Hill.
Left to cherish Tom's memories are his loving wife of 37 years Patricia (Braunlich) Hill, his children Tom, Richard, Janice, and Alicia Hill, a brother Jonny (Darlene) Hill of Wellsburg, his grandchildren Matthew, Kaylin, Alexandria, Lucas, Jacob, a great granddaughter Cordelia, also several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Tuesday June 10, 2025, at 11am at the Family Life Ministry Center 56040 National Road Bridgeport, Ohio 43912, with Pastor Leonard Payne officiating. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside, assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family Life Ministry Center 56040 National Road Bridgeport, Ohio 43912 in the Riesbeck Plaza.
