Thomas W. Hohman, 79, of Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born September 1, 1936 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Paul J. and Charlotte E. (McDonald) Hohman. Tom retired from the Martins Ferry branch of the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of American Legion Post #38, of Martins Ferry, where he was a member of the Thursday Night Classic Bowling League for over 50 years. Tom was a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus where he was also Past Grand Knight. He belonged to F.O.E. #99999, Grove City, OH and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Imelda DiPaolo. Surviving are his wife, Helen E. (McKim) Hohman, daughters, Tami (Clifford) Duckworth of Louisville, KY and Heidi (Virgil) Vanover of Ashland, KY, grandson, Jacob Thomas Vanover, sister, Margaret Hohman of Louisville, KY, brother, Paul John "PJ" Hohman of Trenton, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, January 15, 2016 from 12 p.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Easter Seals, 1305 National Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003.
