MURAD, Thomas A., 86, of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Saturday October 9, 2010 at home. He was born in Wheeling, W.Va., on September 21, 1924, a son of the late Elias and Debba Saseen Murad. Thomas was a retired driver for Carolina Freight, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: John, Phillip, James, Louis George and Joseph Murad; and an infant daughter Pamela Murad. Thomas is survived by his wife, Mildred Hickman Murad; two sons, Phillip Murad and his wife Karel of Bridgeport, and Thomas Murad and his wife Mary Ann of Wheeling; two daughters: Mary Jo Hummel of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Vickie Shutler and her husband Ed, of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren: Krista & Christopher Murad: Angela Barnett & Alicyn Murad: Nicole Love; Zac, Josh, Ben Shutler; and four great-grandchildren: Calvin, Christian, Hunter and Luke. Friends will be received Monday 4 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Reverend John Mucha, as celebrant.
