Thomas A. Rigas Thomas A. Rigas, 68, of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Mar. 12, 2003 at Wheeling, Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Jul. 11, 1934 in Martins Ferry a son of Liberty "Josie" Zurek Rigas and the late Nick Rigas. He was retired from the Martins Ferry plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and was currently employed with Dutch Henry's of Martins Ferry. Tom was a member of Thompson U. Methodist Church, Wheeling Island, and Eagles Aerie #456 of Martins Ferry, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his mother of Martins Ferry he is survived by his wife Rose McConnell Rigas, a son Barry L. White and his fiancé Debbie Deaton of Martins Ferry, a daughter Barbara Vargo and her husband Ronald of Wheeling Island, a brother Andrew Rigas and his fiancé Jean Hall of Rittman, OH, a sister Thelma Boroski and her husband William of Aurora, IL, four grandchildren Luke White, Justin and R.J. Vargo, and D.J. Knollinger, sister-in-law, Shirley Main and her husband Rick, and the following nephews and nieces Rick and Ray Rigas, Cheryl Gibbs, and Michelle, Bill, Bryan, Bruce, and Dwayne Boroski. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Mar. 15, 2003 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Douglas E. Liston officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold services Fri. at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
