Timothy Allen Porter, 39, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Tuesday November 13, 2012 following a courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on November 30, 1972, a son of Jim and Louise Lollathin Porter. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his brother Paul Porter on November 27, 2011. He was a member of the Brookside Church of God; an honorary member of the Bridgeport Fire Department; avid sports fan of Bridgeport Bulldogs, Wheeling Nailers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Dallas Cowboys and Dale Earnhardt. In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by a brother Jim (Trish) Porter of Shadyside, Ohio; nephews Preston and Evan; a niece Taylor and his beloved dog Pixie. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio where services will be held Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Tennant, officiating. Interment will follow at Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
