Tom N. Provezis, 59, of Yantis, TX, formerly of Colerain, OH died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC. He was born Feb. 9, 1949 in Martins Ferry, OH the son of Nick and Eva (Orend) Provezis. He was owner/operator of the former T & P Trucking Co. of Colerain. Tom was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Martins Ferry, and former trustee of the Bridgeport Eagles. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving in addition to his parents of Palmetto, FL are a son Tom Provezis of West Virginia, two daughters Staci and Nikki Provezis both of Illinois, a sister Kay Ann (Bruce) Bennington of Bradenton, FL, a nephew Vance (Sharon) Rine, and three nieces Tomma (Todd) Wells, Tara (Barry) Carpenter, and Aimee (Rodney) McClaflin, and a special cousin George Karpathakis. Friends will be received Thursday 2-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 at 10:00 am with Rev. Phillip VanDam and Rev. Menelaos Papageorgiou officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
