Obituary

Twilia K. Kemp, 65, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Acuity Specialty Hospital. She was born October 19, 1948 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur E. Monahan and Winifred B. Stiener Monahan. She attended Bethesda United Methodist Church for many years, as well as South Main Street Church of Christ. Twilia was a very loving, caring person and a friend to all who knew her. Due to her caring nature and loving heart, she raised Austin M. Kemp, grandson, for the past 11 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Philip "Keith" Monahan and brother-in-law, Clarence W. "Bill" Mayhugh, Sr. Twilia is survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald E. Kemp of Bethesda; sons, Andrew D. (Melissa) Kemp of Morristown, Brian M. (Amanda) Kemp of Lafferty; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly A. Mayhugh of Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, Arthur D. (Sandy) Monahan of Bethesda, James E. (Wanda)Monahan of Barnesville; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Monday 1 p.m. Reverend Tom Detling officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
