Vada (Perry) Myers, 82, of Crawford St., Martins Ferry, OH died Fri., Dec. 22, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Apr. 1, 1924 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Harrison and Margaret (Naughton) Perry. Vada was owner/operator of the former Vada's Grocery of Martins Ferry. She retired from the Admissions Dept. of East Ohio Regional Hospital of Martins Ferry and continued to work as a Switchboard Operator for Wheeling Downs Gaming Center. Vada was a Catholic by faith but she attended the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David J. Myers, five brothers Clifford, Wilbert, Leonard, James, and Michael Perry and a sister Margaret Christmyer. Surviving are three sons David (Marcy) Myers of Sarasota, FL, Dennis (Susan) Myers and Donald (Tammy) Myers both of Martins Ferry, two daughters Carolyn Deaton and Cindy Myers both of Martins Ferry, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and special friends Pastor Joe Sanders and Ray Messinger. Friends will be received Tues., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Dec. 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Rev.
