Vallis D. Stephen, 66, of Barnesville, Ohio died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born August 23, 1946 in Boston, Ohio, son of the late Elmer F. Stephen and Leorna Swallie Stephen Trimmer. He was a member of the Barnesville VFW Post 2792 and the American Legion of Barnesville. Vallis was a great father. He loved fishing and time spent with his family. He was very supportive of his grandchildren and their many activities. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin and Willis Stephen. Vallis is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Carl) McEndree; son Vallis E. (Kim) Stephen all of Barnesville, Ohio; grandchildren Tyson, Ryan Charlisha, Tyra, Brianna, Brittany, Jacob, Trevor, Kaleb, and Jenny; great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Kayleigh, Brailey, Lane, Matthew, and Madison; sister, Marlene (Ray) Ault; brother, Gary (Connie) Stephen all of Barnesville, Ohio; and special friend, Sandy. Friends may visit, Friday 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Pastor Richard Cox will be officiating. Interment will take place at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
