Van Albert Coen. 88, of Mt Pleasant, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020, in Altercare Adena.  He was born in Adena on March 22, 1931 a son of the late Van and Bessie (Sanders) Coen.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corps, was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook post #529.

Van is survived by his wife of 68 years, Reta (Post) Coen; children, Delbert (Sharon) Coen, Diana Charlton and Roger (Mary Anne) Coen; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 3 great greatgrandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.

He was preceded in death his parents; a daughter, June Rawson; twin infant granddaughters; an infant great grandson, Isaac Parsons; a sister and 5 brothers.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale.  Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Staley officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
