Velma Marie (Vargo) DaGrava HAUNER, 80, of Piney Fork, Ohio, passed Sunday January 20, 2013 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va. She was born in Crescent, Ohio on February 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Daniel Vargo Jr. and Irene Toza Vargo. Velma was a member of Piney Fork American Legion Aux for over 50 years.; 30 year treasurer for Piney Fork Presbyterian Church; clerk for the former New Co-Op of Smithfield; enjoyed playing cards at the Legion and helping her friend Pat Taylor at Lunches with Love. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially during the Holidays for her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Pete DaGrava, her second husband Robert Hauner; an infant sister Dolores Vargo, a grandson Jeffrey Lavender and a brother Daniel Vargo. Velma is survived by sons: Dennis DaGrava, Timothy (Lynette) DaGrava all of Piney Fork, Daniel DaGrava of Dillonvale; a daughter Linda (Dennis) Lavender of Thornville, Ohio; a brother Robert (Bess) Vargo of Mount Pleasant; a sister Clara (John) Makuch of Dillonvale; grandchildren: Steven (Mitzi) Lavender; Stephanie Reynolds; Dustin DaGrava; Danielle DaGrava; Jesica DaGrava; Jacob DaGrava; Tim (Megan) Dagrava Jr.; and Taylor DaGrava; great-grandchildren: Breanna and Alexis Reynolds; Matthew Lavender; Dillon Grant; Miley DaGrava; Cooper DaGrava; Caroline DaGrava. Friends will be received Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio and then on Thursday January 24, 2013 from 10 am until the time of service at 12 noon at the Piney Fork Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Michael Lenno, officiating.
