Vera I. Lester, 90, of Main St., Rayland, OH died Tues., Dec. 5, 2006 at Heartland Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport. She was born Dec. 4, 1916 in Ravenswood, WV a daughter of the late H. James and Laura M. (Stullenburger) Lester. She was retired from the Rayland Post Office. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Harold James "Popeye" Lester. Surviving are several cousins. Funeral services will be held Thurs., Dec. 7, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Marvin Schooler officiating.
