Verna L. "Bunky" (Long) Uhrich, 82, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, OH. She was born Mar. 26, 1930 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Heyward C. and Ruth (Murray) Long. She was retired from the Bellaire Community Hospital, Bellaire, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Elsie "Dutch" Wallace. Surviving are her three sons; Joseph S. Uhrich and Kevin C. (Stephanie) Uhrich all of Martins Ferry and Albert L. (Emma) Uhrich of Fredricksburg, VA, a daughter Lynn H. (Steve) Yourkovich of Elm Grove, WV, two sisters; Edna (Dick) Taylor and Rose "Huck" Vinci both of Martins Ferry, five grandchildren Bruce Wadford, Leigh Uhrich, Scott Wadford, Kevin Uhrich, Jr. and Jennifer (McGlothlin) Parrigin and three great grandchildren; Austin Morris, Kimmie Jeffers and Wyatt Parrigan. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. John P. Brandenburg officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
