Vickie L. Battistone 60 of Martins Ferry passed away suddenly Friday March 5, 2021 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry, surrounded by her family. She was born January 17, 1961 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late William and Eleanor Jean (Huggins) Campbell. She was an employee of Abbey's Restaurant and Lounge Wheeling, and Catholic by faith. Vickie loved her family and her granddaughter, and loved being a cheer grandmother, she was also known as "LaLa" to Madalyn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Mildred Campbell, and her fur Babies Milo, and Cooper. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Anthony L. Battistone. A son Nicholas A. Battistone of Martins Ferry, a daughter Lauren N. Battistone of St. Clairsville, her granddaughter Madalyn Hammel, a sister Sherry (Ron) Stanley of Clearview, a brother William Campbell II of Mozart, also nieces and nephews Leah (John) Battistone-Seyler, Kirstie Campbell, Nicole (Austin) Stanley-Frohnapfel, Mariah (James) Campbell-Yackuboskey, and William Campbell III. Vickie loved her Abbey's family including Danita "Dink" and Tanita "Tink" Griffin who were like daughters to her. Her love knew no bounds, friends of Nicholas and Lauren were always welcomed and she cared for and loved all of them. She considered Megan Crister and her son Remington as her extended family. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday March 9, 2021 from 2-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church Martins Ferry, with Fr. Thomas Marut as celebrant, entombment in St. Mary's Mausoleum Martins Ferry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter 45244 National Road St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 in memory of Cooper and Milo.
