WROBEL, Victor F, 85, devoted husband and father, of Dillonvale, Ohio died Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va.He was born April 21, 1926 in Dillonvale, son of the Victor F Wrobel Sr and Pauline (Figurski) Wrobel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Rose Ptacnik, and his sister-in-law, Lavina IppolitiSurving are his wife of 59 years, Aurelia (Fox) Wrobel, his sons Vic (Pat) Wrobel of Mt. Pleasant, Jeffrey Wrobel of Dillonvale; two grandchildren, Sheri Wrobel Thomas of Tiltonsville, Joshua Dulesky Wrobel of Dillonvale; two great-grand children Danielle and Denny J (DJ) Czuchran of Tiltonsville, three brothers, Edward Wrobel of Parma, Ohio, Chuck Wrobel of Bellefontaine, Rich (Jeanie) Wrobel, of Brainard, MN, two sisters Ann Hutkay and Phyllis (Frank) Santa, both of Dillonvale. He had many nieces and nephews.He was retired from Consol Preparation Plant, Georgetown Ohio, and he was a US Army WWII Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He is a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale, where he has served mass for 75 years and was awarded the Fidelis Cross.He was an avid Steeler fan. He was loved and greatly respected by everyone that knew him and is going to be deeply missed by all.Friends will be received to pay tribute to Victor and celebrate his life from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale Ohio, where vigil service will be held at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, with Monsignor John C. Kolesar, officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, where graveside Military Honors will be provided by the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529.
