Vina Esposito Merkel Yoker, 76, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Monday June 2, 2014 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was born in Martins Ferry on July 29, 1937, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Galli Esposito. She was a former employee of Dillonvale Co-op, and WesBanco, Belot Concrete, Richard Sherrin and Associates, the Election Board and a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Wilmer "Bidge" Merkel; a son Brian "Bo" Merkel; and her second husband John Yoker; and a brother in law: Miller "Shybuck" Merkel Vina is survived by her daughter Kathy (Byron) Besece of Dillonvale; sisters: Rose (Jack) DeCeasare of Wheeling, Christine (James) Condell of Rockville, MD., sister in law: Sally Merkel of Cadiz; grandchildren: Bryanna (Brian) Hennebert, Ashley (Tyler) Spears all of Dillonvale; great grandchildren: Brody and Brenna Hennebert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday 2-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday June 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale with Msgr. John Kolesar, as celebrant.
