Virginia Mae Ritner, 94, formerly of Wheeling, WV passed away July 21, 2016 in Elkins, WV. She was born May 21, 1922 in Neffs, OH, a daughter of the late Dewey Norris and Bess Carney Kasproski. Virginia was retired from Stone and Thomas Department Store in Wheeling, WV and a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Wheeling, WV. Virginia's passions were her family, service to others, knitting, reading, and adult coloring books. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Bruno Kasproski; loving husband, William Ritner in 2012; her sister, Jackie Jarosz; and her brother, Joseph Kasproski. Virginia is survived by her children; Deborah (Dan) Hinkle of Buckhannon, WV, Roger (Pat) Ritner of Jensen Beach, FL, and Dr. Gary (Pam) Ritner of Cottage Grove, MN; a sister, Pricilla Banazewski of Pittsburgh, and Patricia Girty of Bethesda; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren;. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 11AM at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH with Dr. Gary Ritner officiating. Interment at Linwood Cemetery.
