Virginia "Mae" (Moore) Stan, 71, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born April 8, 1939 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Samuel C. and Blanche (Thomas) Moore. Mae was a 45 year employee of Coleman's Fish Market of Wheeling, WV and a Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Stan, four brothers Ralph, Richard, Robert and Sam "Bugys" Moore and two sisters Shirley Barr and Frances Chandlier. Surviving are her children; George (Kelly) Stan of Martins Ferry, OH, Sherrie Briggs of Wheeling, WV, Nick (Marianne) Stan of Martins Ferry, Tracie ( Art) Agostinelli of Mt. Pleasant, Steve Stan of Whitelake, MI, Pete (Darlene) Stan and Michael (Dee) Stan both of Wheeling, WV, her grandchildren; Stacey, Diana, Amy, Brandon, Steven, Sharae, Jerry, Katie Mae, George, Christopher, Toni, Nickie, Tyler, Johathan, Danielle, Lucas, Michael, Trista, Joshua, Jessie, several great grandchildren; Austin, Tyesha, Thomas, Maddox, Abagail, Caleb, Devin, Payton, and Little G, a brother; George Moore of St. Petersburg, FL, and three sisters; Mary (Nick) Kirko of Yorkville, OH, Janie (Jim) Maynard of Springfield, OH and Hazel Wyatt of Martins Ferry, OH, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at 10 am with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
