Walter David "Dave" Driscoll, 79, of Martins Ferry passed away Tuesday, 16, 2021 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born April 26, 1942, in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth "Betty" (Peters) Driscoll.

In addition to his parents Dave was preceded in death by his sister Peggy Driscoll.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sandy (Monroe) Driscoll, he also leaves behind his only son David (Rebekah)of Logan, Ohio; grandchildren, Parker, and Jordan.

Dave was retired from Wonder Bread Hostess Cakes of Wheeling as a district route manager. He was a dedicated employee of the Wilson Funeral Home-Heslop chapel for the past 16 years. He was a devout member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry where he served as an Elder, served on the school board, member of the American Legion, Post 888, and a US Army veteran.

Friends may call Friday, November 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20 at the Family Life Center, 800 N. Zane Hwy., at 11:00 am with Rev. Rod Kasler officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit of charity and dedication was constant throughout his life, if someone needed help, he would be there in moment's notice to support them without a second thought. Dave is now resting in the arms of our Lord and savior, and we know that we will see him again one day.

The family request that mask be worn, and social distancing be observed during visitation. Wilson Funeral Home-Heslop Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Family Life Center 800 South Zane Highway Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.
