Fornal, Walter P., 90 of Barton died Wednesday March 13, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. He was born September 2, 1922 in Crescent, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Klotz) Fornal. He was a retired equipment operator for Tri-State Asphalt Co., a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain, a lifetime member of the DAV, the former Bridgeport Eagles aerie #995, the Operating Engineers local #18, and a veteran of WW II in the US Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Florence (Eddy) Fornal, brothers Joe, John and Stanley Fornal. Walter is survived by his sons George (Allison) Kellas of Virginia Beach VA, and Tom Kellas of Canton, brothers Richard (Carol) Fornal of Winterville, and Frank of Parma, sisters Mary Ann Nagy of Barton, and Henrietta Schirripa of Wheeling, four grandchildren Kurtis (Karen) Kellas, Brandon (Jessica) Kellas, Kyle (Christine) Kellas, and Megan Kellas, two great grandchildren Joshua, and Savannah Kellas. Friends are invited to a celebration of Walters's life on Sunday from 12-3 and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. And then on Monday from 9 am till time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain, with Fr. Dale Tornes officiating, interment in Union Cemetery St. Clairsville. Wake service will be recited on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
