Walter F. Kavesky, 71, of Bridgeport, OH passed away May 26th at his home. He was born March 26, 1946 a son of the late Stanley and Rose (Kouski) Kavesky. Walter was retired from W.A. Wilson Glass in Wheeling. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lansing, Martins Ferry Masonic Lodge #682, Wheeling Osiris Shrine Legion of Honor, Belmont Shrine, Steubenville Scottish Rite, Bellaire V.F.W., Martins Ferry American Legion, and was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley "Red" Kavesky. Walter is survived by his loving wife Clara (Matz) Kavesky; daughter, Teri M. (Darryl) Stevens of Martins Ferry; and grandchildren, Anthony Walter, Brittni Marie, and Sydney Nicole Preslin. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 30 from 2-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912. Wake services Tuesday at 2pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha serving as celebrant. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville where a military service will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
