MILLS, Walter Edgar, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Wednesday August 18, 2010 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born in Cadiz, Ohio on February 7, 1931, a son of the late Walter F. and Dorenda Masters Mills. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War; a member of Dillonvale American Legion, Dillonvale Firemen's Club, Dillonvale Eagles, Pine Valley Sportsman's Club; a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and was currently employed by WalMart of Steubenville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Alan and Randy Mills; a grandson, Jason Boyd; a son-in-law, Jerry Lucarelli and an infant sister, Dora Jean Mills. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Fisher Mills; five daughters: Cheryl Lucarelli of Tiltonsville, Ohio, Sharon Boyd (Eric Johnston) of Akron, Ohio, Debra Philips (Gary) of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Linda McLaughlin of Heath, Ohio, and Kimberly Valenti (Scott) of New Mexico; a son, Eric Mills of home; three brothers: Leonard Mills of Scio, Ohio, Eugene Mills (Donna) of New Philadelphia, and Richard Mills (Jean) of Jewett, Ohio; three sisters: Luella Howell (Melvin); Louise (Howard) Harkins, all of Jewett; Joy Bornhoeft (James) and Edith Jones, all of TN., nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kermit Hall, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
