WALTER "BOOTIE" WINLAND, SR, 50, of Rayland, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born March 12, 1958 in Steubenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Esther (Orison) Winland, Sr. and a brother Pete. Bootie is survived by his wife Marlene Winland; four sons James and Joseph Gaito and Roy and Walter Winland, Jr.; two daughters Tina McGraw and Margie Winland; six brothers Bill, Steve, Tom, Roy, John and Raymond Winland; a sister Van Dayton and 14 grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 - 8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St. Tiltonsville, Ohio, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 am. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
