Walter R. Wrana Walter R. "Walt" Wrana, 86, of Vine St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., June 9, 2002 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Jan. 14, 1916 in Stanton, IL a son of the late Adolph and Alouise Muller Wrana. He was retired from the engineering office of the Yorkville plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Walt was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elks Lodge #895, and American Legion Post #38 all of Martins Ferry, a charter member of Cadiz Country Club, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Engineering Corp. #248 during WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Robert, Bruno, Charles, and Otto Wrana, and a sister Lucy Barko. Surviving are his wife Margaret H. Fridgyes Wrana, a daughter Barbara Diehl and her husband Robert H. of St. Clairsville, a granddaughter Dana Diosi and her husband J. David of St. Clairsville, and two great grandsons J. Devin and Dylan Michael Diosi. Friends will be received Tue. 2-8PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wed. at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Rosary devotions will be held Tue. at 3:30 PM followed by Wake services at 7:45 PM both in the funeral home.
