Wayne "Turkey Foot" Finney, 81, of Colerain-Mt. Pleasant Rd., Dillonvale, OH died Thurs., Apr. 6, 2006 at Sienna Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center of Pleasant Grove, OH. He was born Sept. 22, 1924 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Eura and Gertrude (Blake) Finney. He was a retired school bus driver for Martins Ferry City Schools and a retired farmer. Wayne was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Church, Colerain, OH, D.A.V. of Bellaire, OH,, life member of the Muzzle Loaders Assoc. of Burlington, WV and the Tygart Valley Muzzle Loaders Assoc. of Beverley, WV. He was also a member of the Mountain Men Assoc., S.E.R.S., and was involved with the Mt. Pleasant Historical Society and was a veteran of U.S. Marine Corps WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Finney and a sister Shirley Mamone. Surviving are his wife Audrey (Hudock) Finney, a son Douglas W. Finney of Smithfield, OH, five daughters Rebecca (Terry) Harris of Zanesville, OH, Debby (Frank) Nameth of Ramsey ,OH, and Jody (Gene) Bartek, Kimberly (Tim) Ochsenbine and Darcy (Bob) Stidd all of Mt. Pleasant,OH, a sister Ruth Pastre of Martins Ferry, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry, Sat., April 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating.
