Wayne R. Nieb, 84 of Martins Ferry passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at his residence. He was born on April 24, 1942, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Wayne B. and Harriette (Collignon) Nieb.

Wayne was a member of the Hopewell Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Elks Club of Martins Ferry and retired as a Truck Driver. A man of many interest, he found pleasure in Harley motorcycles, golfing, and bowling. His pride was completing the building of his Harley Trike. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Jacqueline (Cullen) Nieb who he met while they were both serving in the military.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Wayne Sall, Patti (Richard Cook) Lucas, and Scott Nieb, 5 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, siblings, Linda Zonker and Jerry Nieb.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 11 till time of service at 1pm with Pastor Dave Hennen officiating at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Burial with full Military Honors to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
