Wilbert Eugene Gummer Sr. 77, of Bridgeport passed away Monday July n28, 2025, at Forest Hills Nursing Home St. Clairsville. He was born on July 15, 1948, in Wheeling, a son of the late Wiburt Ernest and Bernice (Walters) Gummer.

He was a Caregiver for Northwood Health Systems, a member of the Bethlehem Apostolic Temple, Wheeling. He loved the Lord and was a very faithful person to everyone. He liked the LA Lakers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Crutchfield.

Wilburt is survived by his loving wife Lillie (Jeffers) Gummer, and his son Wilbert Eugene Gummer Jr. of Bridgeport, a brother Robert Timothy Gummer of Bridgeport, his caregiver Sheila Lipscomb.

According to Wilbert's wishes there will be no visitation, and a private funeral will be held at the convenience. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside assisting the family.
