Wilbur S. Finney, 91,of Treadway Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Forest Hills Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, OH. He was born March 24, 1925 in Scotch Ridge, Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Earl P. And Alice M. (Major) Finney. He was a farmer and a member of the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church, Emerson Grange #1426, Emerson, OH and the Ohio State Grange. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Finney. Surviving are his brother, Eugene Finney of Deep Run, OH, sisters, Emma K. Gilbert of Scotch Ridge, OH and Dorotha (Charles) Stingle of Smithfield, OH, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian, 55101 Deep Run Rd., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
