Wilbur L. Hayne, Jr., 96, formerly of Hammond, IL and Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Sunrise at Fountain Square, Lombard, IL. Wilbur was born September 6, 1922 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Wilbur L. Hayne, Sr. and Selma E. (Rapking) Hayne.

Wilbur was a retired Chemical Engineer and was a veteran of U.S. Navy during World War II.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane (Barr) Hayne, a son, Grant Hayne and a sister Mabel Thonen.

Surviving are his children; Bruce (Mary) Hayne, Reed (Mary Beth) Hayne, and Webb (Nancy) Hayne, a brother, James (Audrey) Hayne, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Donnellan Funeral Home, Chicago, IL Monday 6-8 p.m. Interment will be held, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.

Burial arrangements were made by Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH.
