William "Bill" Stanley "Chief" Binkiewicz, 76, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Monday February 18, 2013 at home. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 24, 1936, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Petrosky Binkiewicz. He was a former employee of Titanium Metals of Toronto; former Dillonvale Police Chief; member of the Fraternal Order of Police; Dillonvale American Legion; U.S. Navy Veteran; a Catholic by Faith; Pine Valley Sportsman's Club; a member of the Polka Barons; a former Bailiff for Judge Scarpone; and he loved gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother John C. Binkiewicz. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Rosalie Zerla Binkiewicz; sons: William (Lori) Binkiewicz; John T. Binkiewicz, all of Dillonvale; Stephen (Jackie) Binkiwicz of Ravenna, Ohio; Jason Binkiewicz of Dillonvale; sisters: Elizabeth Pipo of Steubenville; Marion Harris of California; Theresa Lash of East Springfield, Ohio; Susan (Butch) Whitehead of Tampa, Fla., Nancy Shrieve of Bloomingdale, Ohio; grandchildren: Hunter, Jason Jr., Chase, Brooke, Haylee, and Hayden Binkiewicz. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday February 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Monsignor John Kolesar, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Dillonvale American Legion at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
