William A. Creager, 84, of Hickory St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Oct. 8, 1924 in Bluefield, WV a son of the late William A. Creager, Sr. and Janie (Thompson) Creager. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and Fiscal Development of PNC Financial Services of Wheeling. Bill was a graduate of Virginia Technical Institute. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #895 of Martins Ferry and the Metallurgical Engineering Assoc. of America. Surviving are his wife Iris (Rinderer) Creager, a sister Alice (Ryland) Beale of VA, a nephew Bill (Sharon) Rinderer of Martins Ferry, three nieces Debbie (Oma Underwood) Beale of VA, Sarah (Jerry) Cobb of NC, and Cheri (Dennis) Ayers of Maynard, OH, several great nephews and great nieces. Private services were held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 with Pastor Phillip VanDam officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry.
